La ciudad portuguesa volverá a acoger una prueba del único circuito internacional de pádel amateur en un país que vive en la actualidad un gran crecimiento del deporte de la pala, por lo que los aficionados esperan con ilusión este evento.
Vera Ferreira, activation manager del Padel Campo Grande, ha analizado el momento de auge que vive este deporte en una ciudad como Lisboa y la repercusión que tiene organizar una prueba del único circuito internacional de pádel amateur:
-¿Cómo está evolucionando el pádel en Portugal?
El pádel está creciendo mucho en nuestro país. En los dos últimos años se está notando más. No sólo en la capital, sino también en otras ciudades de los alrededores. Los últimos datos dicen que hay actualmente 111 pistas exteriores de pádel y 59 de cubiertas, lo que suman un total de 170 pistas de pádel en Portugal, de las cuales 114 están en Lisboa. Son unos datos fantásticos teniendo en cuenta que el pádel llegó hace apenas 5 años a nuestro país.
-¿Cuál es el nivel de juego y qué tipo de perfil de jugador tiene su club?
Padel Campo Grande tiene una localización excelente dentro de la ciudad, por lo que nuestro club es un «escaparate» y un contacto directo de la sociedad lisboeta con el pádel. Recibimos una gran cantidad de gente que han oído hablar de este nuevo deporte.
En nuestro club tenemos muchos jugadores que acaban de empezar a jugar y otros que ya llevan tiempo con nosotros. También tenemos gente que está de paso con su familia debido a que en nuestras inmediaciones está el Jardim do Campo Grande y muchos turistas aprovechan el día para echar un partido.
-¿Qué tipo de iniciativas o medidas de promoción están desarrollando en su club para atraer a los jugadores?
En Padel Campo Grande, ofrecemos clases experimentales para todo aquel que muestra interés en el deporte. También evaluamos a jugadores libres para mejorar y promover su integración en grupos, que evolucionen y mejoren su nivel por supuesto.
Durante todos los años, invitamos a empresas y sus trabajadores próximos al club y organizamos clínics, torneos, reuniones y otros eventos siempre relacionados con el pádel. En verano se organizan cursos intensivos de pádel, para niños de entre 8 y 14 años de edad. El fin principal del club es de fomentar el crecimiento de pádel en Lisboa.
-¿Cuál es el impacto de organizar una prueba del International Padel Experience by Madison?
La acogida de una gran prueba como es el Lisboa Open supone crear buenas relaciones con otros países en los que el pádel está creciendo, a la vez que te permite conocer jugadores y organizaciones con interés en este deporte.
Esperamos que vengan jugadores de otras partes de Europa y que interactúen con los apasionados del pádel en Portugal.
-¿Cuáles son los objetivos del club en el futuro?
Trabajamos todos los días para que Padel Campo Grande sea un club refenrente en Portugal. con buenas instalaciones y productos, un servicio excelente y con una gran cantidad de iniciativas dirigidas a nuestros clientes.

What is the level of play and what kind of profile player in your club?
Padel Campo Grande has an excellent location within the city, so our team is a «showcase» and a direct contact of the Lisbon partnership with the paddle. We get a lot of people have heard of this new sport.
In our club we have many players who just started playing and others already take time with us. We also have people who are passing with his family because in our immediate vicinity is the Jardim do Campo Grande and many tourists use the day to catch a game.
What kind of initiatives or promotion measures are developing in your club to attract players?
In Padel Campo Grande, we offer experimental classes for anyone who shows interest in the sport. We also assessed to free players to improve and promote their integration into groups evolve and improve their level of course.
