Gustavo Spector, gerente de la GS Padel Academy de Milán, hizo este comentario los días previos al inicio del circuito: “No hay que olvidar que el pádel está creciendo mucho en Italia. En los últimos dos años tuvo un incremento de más del 200%. Por el momento Roma es la que más crece, pero la sigue de cerca Milán y otras muchas regiones en las que el deporte está despegando”. Cabe destacar que Milán, Turín y Roma son las tres pruebas del circuito International Padel Experience adidas by Madison que se disputan en Italia.

Otro impulsor del deporte de moda en el país de la bota es Andrea Balducci, quien comentó en una entrevista concedida al diario Mundo Deportivo que: “En Italia están como locos por el pádel,  está en plena efervescencia. En apenas un par de años, de 5 pistas hemos pasado a casi 100, con la seguridad de que el crecimiento ya es exponencial e imparable”.

Turín se presenta como un escalón más en esa subida del pádel italiano hacia la cumbre. La proximidad con Milán (125 km) y otras ciudades como Mónaco (149km) hace que se convierta, el fin de semana del 17 al 19 de julio, en el centro del pádel amateur europeo, y que muchos aficionados a este deporte aprovechen la ocasión y se desplacen para disputar un torneo único, además de disfrutar de la ciudad.
