-¿Cómo está evolucionando el pádel en Suiza?
En mi opinión, estamos en un año vital para el devenir del pádel suizo. En 2010 comenzaron a crearse los primeros clubes de pádel y en 2016 el crecimiento está siendo espectacular. Además, la Asociación Pádel Suiza ha sufrido una gran reestructuración interna con el objetivo de de dar a conocer y promover el pádel tanto como sea posible. Se está fomentando la creación de nuevas pistas y por primera vez hay una liga nacional de pádel.
Además, una de las fases de clasificación para el campeonato del mundo que se disputará este año en Lisboa se llevará a cabo en Suiza. Vamos por el buen camino.
-¿Cuál es el nivel de juego y qué tipo de perfil de jugador tiene su club?
Estamos orgullosos de contar en nuestro club con un tercio de los jugadores federados en Suiza. Por tanto, el nivel de juego en el TC Unterengstringen es alto. También tenemos jugadores que están empezando y otros que llevan tiempo con nosotros. Algunos practican pádel solo por diversión, mientras que otros jugadores buscan competir. La mayoría son extranjeros, pero cada vez más tenemos jugadores locales, un buen síntoma de que el pádel está calando en la sociedad suiza. Lo principal es que toda persona que pase por nuestro club disfrute de este maravilloso deporte.
-¿Qué tipo de iniciativas o medidas de promoción están desarrollando en su club para atraer a los jugadores?
Queremos que todos los miembros e invitados se sientan cómodos en nuestro club. Y actualmente solo contamos con una pista, por lo que uno de nuestros objetivos es construir más para conseguir más jugadores.
A lo largo del año organizamos varios torneos locales y regionales que tienen mucha aceptación y el número de inscripciones es elevado. También regularizamos torneos internos mensuales que favorece a la interacción de nuestros clientes.
-¿Qué importancia y cómo trabaja el club con la cantera?
Actualmente contamos con algunos niños inscritos en nuestro club, aunque en los torneos que organizamos suelen venir de fuera. Uno de los eventos con más tirón del 2015 fue «El día del niño», en el que promovíamos el deporte de la pala entre los más pequeños. Fue un éxito, y esperamos que en este año contemos con más niños dentro de nuestras instalaciones.
Otro de nuestros proyectos para este verano es la primera edición de un campamento infantil de pádel. Estamos muy ilusionados de mostrar este deporte a las futuras generaciones.
-¿Qué valores se transmiten a través del pádel?
A mí, personalmente me encanta su factor social. Es una actividad que une a la gente y el carácter de los suizos es extrovertido por lo que el pádel ayuda a conocer más a las personas. El trabajo en equipo, el respeto y la justicia son otros valores que extrapolamos del pádel.
-¿Cuál es el impacto de organizar una prueba del International Padel Experience by Madison?
El International Padel Experience by Madison es un proyecto que sigo desde hace tiempo y me apasiona desde sus comienzos. Mi gran pasión es viajar, por lo que mezclar el pádel con la posibilidad de conocer otras ciudades es algo que me atrae. Esperamos llegar a mucha gente gracias a la organización de un torneo internacional de estas características y ayudaremos a promover este deporte. Seremos un gran anfitrión para todo aquel que elija participar en el Zurich Open.
-¿Cuáles son los objetivos del club en el futuro?
Cuando creamos una sección de pádel en el CH Unterengstringen en el comienzo del año pasado, prometimos trabajar por ser el mejor club de Suiza. Es un objetivo alto, pero con el trabajo duro y mucha pasión llegaremos a ello. How you are evolving padel tennis in Switzerland?
In my opinion, we are vital to the future of Swiss pádel year. In 2010 they began to create the first paddle clubs in 2016 and growth has been spectacular. In addition, the Swiss Padel Association has undergone a major internal restructuring with the objective to publicize and promote paddle tennis as much as possible. It is encouraging the creation of new tracks and for the first time there is a national league paddle.

What is the level of play and what kind of profile player in your club?
We are proud to have in our club with a third of the federal players in Switzerland. Therefore, the level of play in the TC Unterengstringen is high. We also have players who are just starting and others who take time with us. Some practice paddle tennis just for fun, while other players looking to compete. Most are foreigners, but increasingly we have local players, a good sign that the paddle is seeping into Swiss society. What kind of initiatives or promotion measures are developing in your club to attract players?
We want all members and guests feel comfortable in our club. And now we only have one track, so one of our goals is to build more to get more players.

How important and how the club works with the quarry?
Currently we have some children enrolled in our club, but in the tournaments we organize usually come from outside.
