[:es]El International Padel Experience by Madison, patrocinado por Estrella Damm, hará su cuarta parada en el Padel club Berlin International, del 10 al 12 de junio. La capital alemana acogerá de nuevo una prueba del único circuito internacional de pádel amateur en un país que vive en la actualidad un gran crecimiento del deporte de la paleta, por lo que la expectación es máxima.
Para que vayáis preparando con antelación vuestro viaje y aprovechéis al máximo la experiencia del único circuito de pádel amateur internacional os vamos a ofrecer algunos de los lugares que no te puedes perder en Berlín:
1. Puerta de Brandeburgo. La Brandenburger Tor es el gran icono de la ciudad. Por el paso central de esta antigua puerta de la ciudad (construida en la última década del s.XVIII) hicieron sus entradas triunfales personajes históricos como Napoleón o Hitler. Con la construcción del muro quedó relegada a paso fronterizo en tierra de nadie, pero hoy en día vuelve a lucir su esplendor y es punto de partida de casi todos los tours por la ciudad.
2. Monumento del Holocausto. Su nombre completo es “Monumento a los judíos de Europa asesinados”. Fue inaugurado hace pocos años, en 2005, pero ya es uno de los principales puntos de interés turístico en la ciudad. Casi 2.800 bloques de hormigón, de diferentes alturas, conforman este espectacular memorial. Los bloques, todos grises y vacíos, simbolizan las lápidas de un cementerio judío.
3. Reichstag. Otro edificio histórico de Berlín es el Reichstag, donde se reúne el p
arlamento alemán (Bundestag). Fue construido en estilo neorrenacentista a finales del s.XIX, pero desde entonces las guerras e incendios han hecho que cambiara mucho su aspecto. Su gran cúpula de cristal recibe miles de visitas cada día. Desde las alturas se tienen unas buenas vistas de la ciudad y pueden verse directamente las sesiones parlamentarias.
4. Isla de los Museos. La Museumsinsel es una pequeña isla rodeada por las aguas del río Spree que alberga cinco grandes museos: Museo de Pérgamo (Pergamonmuseum), Museo Antiguo (Altes Museum), Museo Nuevo (Neues Museum), Museo Bode (Bode-Museum) y la Galería Nacional Antigua (Alte Nationalgalerie). La relevancia de este conjunto museístico es tal que la isla fue nombrada Patrimonio de la Humanidad en 1999. El Museo de Pérgamo, la estrella del quinteto. Su visita es absolutamente obligada. Destacan el famoso Altar de Pérgamo, la Puerta de Ishtar, la fachada del mercado de Mileto y la fachada de Mushatta. En la misma isla también se encuentra la Berliner Dom (Catedral de Berlín).
5. Muro de Berlín. Del muro original y sus 155km apenas se conservan unos metros en su 
emplazamiento original. Las tres visitas que recomendamos para conocer el muro y su historia son las siguientes: East Side Gallery, un tramo de 1,5km que hoy en día es la galería de arte al aire libre más grande del mundo. El Gedenkstätte Berliner Mauer (Memorial del Muro de Berlín), situado en la calle Bernauer Straße, compuesto por diversos elementos: exposiciones al aire libre, la Capilla de la Reconciliación y, sobre todo, el centro de documentación sobre el Muro. La entrada es gratuita y desde su terraza podemos observar un tramo de muro al otro lado de la calle, con una torre de vigilancia y los dos niveles de muro habituales, con la llamada franja de la muerte en medio. Por último, hay que visitar el popular Checkpoint Charlie, el paso fronterizo más famoso entre la parte soviética y la parte occidental.
6. Gendarmenmarkt. Una de las plazas más bonitas de Berlín. Su belleza se debe a los tres edificios que la flanquean: el Konzerthaus; la Französischer Dom (Catedral Francesa) y la Deutscher Dom (Catedral Alemana).
7. Alexander Platz. La “Alex” fue la plaza más importante en el Berlín de la RDA y su altísima Fernsehturm (Torre de Televisión), era uno de los grandes orgullos de la Ale
mania del Este. La torre es muy visitada por las impresionantes vistas panorámicas que ofrece. En la plaza destaca el Reloj Mundial.

6. Gendarmenmarkt. One of the most beautiful squares in Berlin. Its beauty is due to the three buildings that flank: the Konzerthaus; the Französischer Dom (French cathedral) and Deutscher Dom (German Cathedral).
