[:es]La decimoséptima parada del International Padel Experience by Madison daba comienzo este sábado 28 de octubre.

El London Open arrancaba un año más en las instalaciones del Club David Lloyd Bushey con la celebración de las competiciones de categorías mixta y masculina, en una jornada en la que quedaba patente la evolución del pádel en la capital británica.

La mañana se destinaba a la competición de categoría mixta, que recibía a 16 jugadores originarios de todo el territorio británico, así como distintos puntos de Europa: Suiza, Rumanía, España… Esta categoría se recibía con gran entusiasmo, al ser la más habitual en Inglaterra y dejaba grandes puntos para el recuerdo.

La pareja Norton/Beneytez se imponía a Bell/McLeod 6-1/6-1 y se convertía en la primera dupla que alcanzaba la final del torneo. Por su parte, Okamura/Fernández vencían 6-1/6-1 Cohen/Ansher en un rápido partido en el que demostraban su clara superioridad.

A continuación llegaba el punto de la gran final mixta que, a pesar del resultado, estuvo muy disputada, con puntos que se ganaron la ovación del público asistente. Finalmente Northon/Beneytez se alzaban vencedores con un resultado de 6-3/6-2.

Las primeras horas de la tarde eran testigos del inicio de la competición masculina, en la que 8 parejas se daban cita con el objetivo de alzarse vencedores y conseguir, de esta forma, la ansiada plaza para el Master Final.

El nivel general de la categoría era muy igualado, si bien es cierto que las parejas que llegaban a las últimas rondas resultaban claros merecedores de la victoria.

Casuso/Beneytez vencía 6-0/6-2 en la primera de las semifinales, dejando fuera del torneo a la dupla Hernando/Gil, que pese a su esfuerzo, no conseguía imponer su juego. Tras ellos, la Pareja Fernández/Valero se convertía en la segunda pareja finalista al vencer 7-6/6-4 a Dollimore/Nissen.

La final masculina cerraba la primera jornada del London Open y desvelaba al ganador del torneo. Beneytez subía a lo más alto del podio por segunda vez, en esta ocasión junto a su compañero Casuso tras vencer en la pista 6-4/6-2.

El London Open finalizará este domingo con la competición femenina, pero recuerda que todavía estás a tiempo de participar en los últimos torneos de la temporada y formar parte de una experiencia única.

The London Open kicked off another year at the David Lloyd Bushey Club facilities with the celebration of mixed and men’s category competitions, in a day that was evident the evolution of the padel in the British capital.

The morning was destined to the mixed category competition, which received 16 players from all over the British territory, as well as different points in Europe: Switzerland, Romania, Spain … This category was received with great enthusiasm, being the most common in England and left great points for the memory.

The Norton / Beneytez pair prevailed at Bell / McLeod 6-1 / 6-1 and became the first pair to reach the final of the tournament. For their part, Okamura / Fernandez won 6-1 / 6-1 Cohen / Ansher in a quick game in which they showed their clear superiority.

Next came the point of the mixed mixed final which, despite the result, was very disputed, with points that won the ovation of the audience. Finally Northon / Beneytez were rising winners with a result of 6-3 / 6-2.

The early hours of the afternoon witnessed the beginning of the men’s competition, in which 8 couples met with the goal of winning winners and achieve, thus, the desired place for the Master Final.

The general level of the category was very even, although it is true that the couples who reached the last rounds were clear deserving of victory.

Casuso / Beneytez won 6-0 / 6-2 in the first of the semifinals, leaving out the tournament to the pair Hernando / Gil, who despite his effort, could not impose his game. After them, Fernández / Valero became the second pair finalist to win 7-6 / 6-4 to Dollimore / Nissen.

The men’s final closed the first day of the London Open and unveiled the winner of the tournament. Beneytez climbed to the top of the podium for the second time, this time with his partner Casuso after winning on track 6-4 / 6-2.

The London Open will end this Sunday with the women’s competition, but remember that you are still in time to participate in the last tournaments of the season and be part of a unique experience.
