The Palencia Open has its champions

The International Padel Experience by Madison conclude its first tournament in which the main protagonist has been the high-level of the participants. The club P90sport in Palencia host the best padel amateur where 186 couples played more than 300 matches, breaking the participation record in a first national event of the season.

Sunday's journey saw the outcome of nine days of high-level padel with their semifinal matches played in the morning and the finals in the evening.

Inés Junco and Patricia Peña won the first woman’s category against Paula Rodríguez and Elena Bodero by 7-5 and 6-3, fighting in two sets for the pass to the Master Final of the International Padel Experience by Madison.

In the top men’s category Mario Díaz and Adrián Santillana, won by 3-6, 6-4 and 6-4, against Carlos Pozo and Samuel Belmonte in a very close final, obtaining their ticket to the Master Final too.  

In second men's category Gorka La Barbera and Luis Cordero beat Christian Caballero and Javier Alonso in a high-level duel. Likewise, in male third Jonatan and Eduardo de la Rosa won in their category against Juan Manuel and Diego.

The winners of the fourth men's category were Juan Abad and Jonatan López, who won against Jose Miguel and Eduardo. Also, Daniel Vil and Carlos García were the winners of the fifth and last men's category against Jorge Martín and Alejandro.

The pair formed by Elena Sanchez and Maria Eugenia managed to reach the podium in second woman’s category against Paula Rodríguez and Cristina Ramírez. Also, the triumph in third woman’s category went to Cristina Guerra and Elisa Miguel, who beat Soledad Lajo and Beatriz Esteban.

The winners in the first mixed group were the couple formed by Elena Bodero and Fernando Pérez de Diego, who amazed with their victory against Cristian Caballero and Lidia Llanos by 6-4 and 6-3.

Ana Guerra and Raúl Baz won the price of second mixed category against Pablo Munio and Tamara de la Encina; while in third mixed category the winners were Javier Pérez and Marta Arranz, who won against Raúl Castrillo and Tamara de la Encina.

Along with these results, ten days of a fun competition concludes the experience of the best padel amateur, which has left their mark on the ones who wanted to be part of this first tournament, highlighting the good atmosphere and the organization that this circuit offers to its participants.

After this inaugural contest, the one and only international padel amateur circuit will continue in El Norte de Castilla Valladolid Open, at Las Norias club, from June 9th to 13th, for those who want to follow the IPE by Madison in this adventure.
