Alfonso Patacho conquers Athens


The International Padel Experience By Madison: Athens Open had its closing day on Monday in a day full of padel in which a Spanish was the great protagonist. During this last day some of the semifinals postponed by the rain as well as the great end of each category took place. Some hard duels that ended with the awards ceremony and a great celebration on behalf of Estrella Damm.

In the men's category C, the winners of the event were Giannis Adamis and Alexandros Manikas, who beat Giorgos Zouzoulas and Stavros Tsitouridis in two sets (7/5, 6/2). The winners of this category, as well as the rest, were able to enjoy a prize made up of a whole range of Bullpadel products.

The winners of the men's category B were Panagiotis Paradiseis and Grigoris Paradiseis, who needed three sets to defeat Vasilis Kalogeropoulos and Nikos Kokotas (6/4, 4/6, 3/6).

There was great expectation to know who would win the men's category A. Finally, those who were victorious were the Spanish Alfonso Patacho, who moved to Greece to play alongside the Uruguayan Mario Barcelo. They defeated Paris Xemougidis and Vasilis Apostolakis in the final in a match that had to be resolved in three sets (6/1, 4/6, 6/3).

In the women's category B, the big winners were Eva Trapeziwti and María Sxetaki, who became masters of the category after beating Mariliza Petropoulou and Dimitra Reizidou in two sets (7/5, 6/3).

In the women's queen category, the big winners were Dimitra Patsarou and Clairi Manolou, who defeated with solvency Tzortzina Liberopoulou and Maria Pasxou in just two sets (6/1, 6/1).

The Spanish Alfonso Patacho returned to climb the podium in Athens, this time after winning along with Kalliroy Hatzigianni in the mixed category. They did after beating Tzortzina Liberopoulou and Dimitris Karakartal in two sets (7/5, 6/4).
