[:es]Se acerca la fecha más esperada por los campeones del International Padel Experience by Madison: el Master Final.
Los vencedores en las categorías absolutas de las distintas pruebas del año del único circuito internacional de pádel amateur tendrán la oportunidad de convertirse en campeones absolutos de la temporada en el Master Final que se celebrará en Fuengirola los días 18 y 19 de noviembre.
Carolina Inaraja, ganadora del Rotterdam Open es uno de los jugadores que se batirán en las pistas de Reserva del Higuerón Resort.
¿Quién es Carolina Inaraja?
Soy una vallisoletana de 30 años. Trabajo en una bodega de vinos y me gusta mucho viajar por el mundo, algo que no solo hago por exigencias del trabajo sino también por placer. En cuanto a mi afición al pádel, juego desde hace tres años. No es mucho tiempo pero parece que no se me da del todo mal (risas). Así que, si en mis viajes puedo aprovechar y jugar algún partido, mucho mejor.
¿Cómo surgió tu interés por el pádel?
La verdad es que yo siempre he hecho mucho deporte, sobre todo de equipo. Durante muchos años jugué al baloncesto, pero tuve una lesión de espalda que me impidió realizar ningún tipo de deporte. Mi recuperación coincidió con mi vuelta a Valladolid, ya que había pasado unos años en Madrid, y me recomendaron jugar al pádel ya que era una buena forma de volver a hacer deporte y, a la vez, conocer gente. De todo esto ya hace tres años y mi afición por el pádel no ha hecho más que crecer.
¿Recuerdas tu primer contacto con este deporte?
Empecé dando clases y jugando algún partido organizado por los profesores, que siempre intentaban organizar algún encuentro con compañeras de clase. Con el tiempo, esas compañeras se han convertido en grandes amigas. Poco a poco fui cogiendo experiencia y práctica, pero me alegro de haber empezado con las clases, son muy importantes, sobre todo al principio.
Además de Rotterdam, ¿has participado en otras pruebas del circuito?
Esta temporada he participado en Valladolid y en Rotterdam. La experiencia fue muy buena en los dos casos, aunque sobre todo en Rotterdam, donde gané (risas).
Con esa victoria conseguiste una plaza en el Master Final, ¿qué esperas de ese torneo?
Tengo la suerte de conocer a otros jugadores que también participarán en el Master Final, ya que han ganado en otras pruebas del circuito, por lo que me hace muchísima ilusión el viaje. En cuanto a la competición, lo que quiero es, sobre todo, disfrutarla. Creo que el nivel va a ser muy bueno aunque, si me preguntas si creo que voy a ganar, sinceramente no creo que no. El nivel será muy alto, pero como te digo me hace muchísima ilusión participar y, sinceramente, creo que va a haber partidos de buen nivel y con muy buen rollo. ¡Tengo muchísimas ganas de ir!
¿Por qué el International Padel Experience by Madison?
El concepto del circuito me parece maravilloso. Ampliáis muchísimo las fronteras del pádel, que hasta hace poco era cosa de muy pocos y que no se jugaba en muchos sitios. Además, dais la oportunidad a la gente de empezar a competir, porque la competición te lleva más allá del mero juego, la competición te genera otros sentimientos y otros nervios, te ofrece otra forma de enfocar el mismo deporte.
Me parece importante que trasladéis este concepto de competición a otros países, donde a lo mejor el pádel es un deporte incipiente y creo que gracias a este evento acabará siendo un deporte muy popular.
Además, para los frikis del pádel como yo el International Padel by Madison está genial, porque te lo tomas en un modo vacacional, disfrutas de un fin de semana en otra ciudad y aparte hacemos lo que nos gusta, que es jugar.
¿Recomendarías la experiencia?
¡Yo ya se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo! En Rotterdam no me lo pude pasar mejor. Además estás con gente de otros países, ya no solo locales de la ciudad donde se celebra el torneo. A Rotterdam por ejemplo fueron jugadores polacos, ingleses, italianos y de más sitios… Estar con ellos, disfrutar de un fin de semana en torno al deporte… Me parece una experiencia inolvidable y que, por supuesto, yo voy a repetir. Al año que viene esperemos ganar en algún sitio para estar una vez más en Fuengirola.

Who is Carolina Inaraja?
I am a 30 years old woman from Valladolid. I work in a wine cellar and I really like to travel around the world, something that I do not only for the demands of work but also for pleasure. About my passion for the padel, I have been playing for three years. It is not a long time but it seems that I do not give all the bad (laughs). So, if in my travels I can take advantage and play some padel matches, much better.
How did your interest in padel come about?
The truth is that I have always done a lot of sport, especially team sports. For many years I played basketball, but I had a back injury that prevented me from playing any kind of sport. My recovery coincided with my return to Valladolid, since I had spent a few years in Madrid, and they recommended me to play padel as it was a good way to go back to playing sports and, at the same time, meeting people. It has been three years since then and my passion for the padel has only been growing.
Do you remember your first contact with this sport?
I started learning in padel lessons and playing some games organized by my teachers, who always tried to organize some encounter with classmates. Over time, those classmates have become great friends. Step by step I was getting experience and practice, but I am glad to have started with lessons, they are very important, especially at the beginning.
In addition to Rotterdam, have you taken part in other tournaments of the circuit?
This season I participated in Valladolid and Rotterdam. The experience was very good in both cases, but especially in Rotterdam, where I won (laughs).
With that victory you got a place for the Final Master, what do you expect from that tournament?
I am lucky to meet already other players who will also participate in the Final Master, as they have won in other headquarters of the circuit, so I am very excited about the trip. As for the competition, what I want is, above all, to enjoy it. I think the level is going to be very good though, if you ask me if I think I’m going to win, I honestly do not think so. The level will be very high, but as I say, it makes me very happy to participate and, honestly, I think there will be matches with a great level and with very good vibes. I really want to go!
Why the International Padel Experience by Madison?
The concept of the circuit seems wonderful to me. You have greatly expanded the frontiers of the padel, which until recently was not very known and was not played in many places. In addition, you give people the opportunity to start competing, because the competition takes you beyond mere play, the competition generates other feelings and other nerves, it gives you another way to focus yourself on the same sport.
I think it is important that you move this concept of competition to other countries, where the padel is perhaps an incipient sport and I think thanks to this event will end up being a very popular sport.
Also, for the Paddle Geeks like me the International Padel by Madison is great, because we take it in a vacation mode, we enjoy a weekend in another city and apart we do what we like, that is to play.
Would you recommend the experience?
I already recommend it to everyone! In Rotterdam I could not have been better. In addition, you are with people from other countries, and not only local in the city where the tournament is held. In Rotterdam for example were Polish, English, Italian and people from other sites … To be with them, to enjoy a weekend around the sport … It seems to me an unforgettable experience and that, of course, I will repeat. Next year we hope to win somewhere to be once again in Fuengirola.[:]
