Anfiteatro romano como buena ciudad italiana, Siracusa cuenta con restos arquitectónicos de la antigua civilización romana. Su anfiteatro romano pertenece a la Edad Imperial y está considerado uno de los más significativos de su género.
Se encuentra rodeado de naturaleza verde, lo que hace que la piedra blanca del conjunto arquitectónico destaque aún más.
La Oreja de Dionisio es una cueva artificial formada por roca caliza que se encuentra situada en la zona de “Latomia del Paraíso”, formando una gruta de 65 metros de largo y 23 de alto. Su curioso nombre fue acuñado por el pintor Caravaggio, que ante el parecido de la forma con el de una oreja y favorecido por la acústica que ofrece la misma, estableció este nombre en referencia al tirano de Siracusa Dionisio I. Cuenta la leyenda que este tirano hacía trabajar a los prisioneros en la cueva y gracias a la acústica se enteraba de todo lo que planeaban.
Plaza del Duomo de Siracusa en esta céntrica plaza se encuentran los edificios más representativos de la ciudad, el Duomo, el Palacio Senatoriale (Ayuntamiento), la Iglesia de Santa Lucía alla Badia, el Palacio Beneventano del Bosco, el palacio del ex-museo arqueológico y el palacio arzobispal con su biblioteca Algoniana.

Fuente de Aretusa esta fuente junto al mar es una de las estampas más destacadas de la ciudad por la leyenda que inspira. La mitología griega explica que la ninfa Aretusa, huyendo de Alfeo, hijo del Dios Océano, pidió convertirse en fuente para lograr escapar de él. Sin embargo, lo que la ninfa no pudo imaginar, es que Alfeo, locamente enamorado, se convirtió en río, para poder desembocar en la fuente y estar cerca de Aretusa. Fountain of Aretusa this fountain by the sea is one of the most outstanding prints of the city for the legend it inspires. Greek mythology explains that the nymph Aretusa, fleeing from Alphaeus, son of the Ocean God, asked to become a source to escape from him.
